Smooth representations in characteristic $p>0$ and $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules affiche]
[I will report on a joint project with M.-F. Vigneras in which we aim at a natural functor from smooth representations in characteristic $p > 0$ to étale $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules (possibly infinite dimensional). At present we have such a construction conditional on a certain structural property of smooth representations. |

Counting points on Igusa varieties affiche]
[Igusa varieties are very useful in studying bad reduction of certain PEL-type Shimura varieties. By the result of Mantovan, the cohomology of such Shimura varieties can be expressed in terms of the cohomology of Igusa varieties and that of Rapoport-Zink spaces. In the work of Harris and Taylor on the Langlands correspondence, it is an important step to establish yet another relation between the cohomology spaces of Igusa varieties and Shimura varieties. This step relies on precise understanding of moduli data in characteristic $p$ as well as the techniques in harmonic analysis and the trace formula. I will present a recent work which works out this step in the case where endoscopy is nontrivial, assuming certain conjectures in representation theory. |

Cycle relations on Jacobians affiche]
[We consider a complete non-singular curve $C$ and its Jacobian $J$. In the study of algebraic cycles on $J$ we have a number of interesting structures at our disposal. E.g., in addition to the usual intersection product $\cdot$, the Chow ring $\operatorname{CH}(J)$ carries a second ring structure: the Pontryagin product $\ast$. Also we have the Fourier transform $\mathcal F \colon \operatorname{CH}(J) \to \operatorname{CH}(J)$ that exchanges the two products. Now we can make cycle classes on $J$ by starting with the class of $C \subset J$, using all operations $n^\ast, \mathcal F, \cdot$ and $\ast$, and taking linear combinations. The resulting subring $\mathcal Y(C) \subset \operatorname{CH}(J)$ is called the \textit{tautological ring of $C$}. In our talk we shall try to explain some general results of Beauville and Polishchuk; in particular it is known that the tautological ring is finitely generated, with an explicit set of generators. The main theme of my talk will be the connections between geometric properties of the curve $C$ and the structure of the tautological ring. E.g., extending an older result of Colombo and van Geemen, recent results of Herbaut and van der Geer and Kouvidakis show that the existence of linear systems of a given rank and degree translate into relations between the generators of $\mathcal T(C)$ modulo algebraic equivalence. We shall also discuss if, and how, one can lift such results to the full Chow ring of $J$. |

On the restriction of mod $p$ and $p$-adic representations of $\operatorname{GL}_2(F)$ to a Borel subgroup affiche]
[Let $F$ be a non-Archimedean local field and let $p$ be the residual characteristic of $F$. Let $G=\operatorname{GL}_2(F)$ and let $P$ be a Borel subgroup of $G$. In this paper we study the restriction of smooth irreducible representations of $G$ on $E$-vector spaces to $P$, where $E$ is an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p$. We show that in a certain sense $P$ controls the representation theory of $G$. We then extend our results to smooth $\mathcal O_K[G]$-modules of finite length and unitary $K$-Banach space representations of $G$, where $\mathcal O_K$ is the ring of integers of a complete discretely valued field $K$, with residue field $E$. |

On special representations of $p$-adic reductive groups affiche]
[For a split reductive group $G$ over a non-Archimedean locally compact field $F$ and a parabolic subgroup $P \subset G$ I am going to consider the corresponding special $G$-representation with coefficients in a ring $L$. For example, if $P$ is a Borel subgroup then this is the Steinberg representation (with coefficients in $L$). I will be particularly interested in the restriction of these representations to Iwahori subgroups in $G$. |

Supercuspidal representation : an exhaustion theorem affiche]
[Let $G$ be a reductive $p$-adic group. We prove that all supercuspidal representations of $G$ arise through Yu's construction subject to certain hypotheses on $k$ (depending on $G$). As a corollary, under the same hypotheses, we see that any supercuspidal representation is compactly induced from a representation of an open subgroup which is compact modulo the center. |

On Period Spaces for $p$-divisible Groups affiche]
[Fix a $p$-divisible group over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p$ and consider its deformations to characteristic zero. In 1970 Grothendieck posed the question to determine the set of all Hodge filtrations which can occur as the Hodge filtration of such a deformation. It is a subset of a Grassmannian. As a first step Rapoport and Zink constructed in their book a rigid-analytic period space Fwa inside this Grassmannian which contains all these Hodge filtrations. In my talk I show that however, almost always Fwa contains Berkovich points which do not correspond to Hodge filtrations, and I construct a Berkovich open subspace Fa of Fwa which I conjecture to be the answer to Grothendieck's question.
